The Second Home

The Second Home grew from a simple idea of Jitendra Purohit, who is fondly known as Balu Bhai. He has been welcoming travellers from across the globe in Jaisalmer since 1996. After years of sharing the city’s stories, culture and desert life with guests, he wanted to create a place that felt personal, peaceful and genuinely welcoming.

Together with his family, Balu Bhai created a small six-room boutique hotel shaped by Rajasthani character and modern comfort. Spacious rooms, handcrafted details, warm sandstone tones and personal hospitality give the property its own identity, while its central location makes exploring Jaisalmer easy. Here, every guest is welcomed with the warmth of a home.
